Overview
In rare cases, after updating from an older version of the app, some devices may experience unexpected behavior. This can happen due to internal DSP conflicts or manufacturer-specific limitations (for example, on some Xiaomi devices).
The fix is simple and restores full functionality.
Symptoms You May Notice
After the update, you might experience one or more of the following:
- The sound is not changing
- Strange or abnormal behaviors inside the app
- Low or distorted audio quality
If you notice any of these, follow the steps below.
How to Fix the Issue (Quick Guide)
- Open Xeq
- Open the Menu
- Go to Settings
- Scroll down and tap the last option: Reset to factory default
- Restart your device
- Open Xeq again and enjoy
This procedure resets the app’s internal DSP configuration while keeping your device safe.
You can also backup your presets before this procedure, but if they don’t work, please send them to me.
